HOW TO PRODUCE TEXCOAT PAINT

TITLE: TEXCOAT PAINT PRODUCTION 

AIM AND OBJECTIVE:  How texcoat paint is produced, the categories of paint, the material used and their functions when duly applied.

MATERIALS FOR TEXCOAT PAINT

Titanium Oxide

Nitroxol

Calcium Carbonate

Hydroxol

Marbles Dust

Fourmaline

Water

Ammonia

PROCEDURE

First weigh 20 liters drum and adjust the scale to zero unit by turning the adjuster.

poured 6kg of water into the drum

Add ½ kg of Titanium oxide

Add blue colour to the mixture

Add 8kg of calcium carbonate then turn till it dissolve.

Add 7kg of marbles dust

Add 2 kg of 773

Add ¼ kg of Nitroxol (I diluted it with 1kg of water)

Add ¼ kg of hydroxol

Add 1 kg of formaline

Add ¼ kg of ammonia  

PRECAUTIONS

Ensure that all measurements are carried out accurately to avoid errors.

Ensure that you cover your nose to avoid inhalation of the ammonia gas

Ensure that you adjusted your scale calibration to kilogram before weighing the solutions.

Ensure that you used protective equipments like gloves, goggles and apron to avoid direct contact with the chemicals used.

Ensure that the weight of drum used are deducted by placing it on the scale and adjusting it to zero before adding my reagent.

OBSERVATIONS

 You will observed that an addition of titanium oxide to the solution, it turned equeous.

You will observed that after adding marbles dust to the solution it became thick and have teeth.

You will observed that after adding hydroxol to the solution, it had a nasty odor.

You will observed that after adding ammonia to the solution, a powerful smell was released.
