Atiku rejects President Jonathan's overtures

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Tuesday turned down President Goodluck Jonathan's plea to return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Atiku in rejecting Jonathan's overtures said his commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the success of its presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari and other candidates of the party in the 2015 general elections is unwavering and never been up for bargaining.
He maintained that he remained committed to his promise in his concession speech at the conclusion of the APC’s presidential primaries, that he will work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the victory of Buhari and other candidates of the party at the elections.
He accused mischief makers of trying to pitch him against other leaders of the APC.
Some leaders of the PDP working under instructions from President Jonathan were reportedly begging and putting pressure on Atiku  to dump the APC and rejoin the PDP.
